PipeChain’s parent company MA-system was founded in 1976 and was industry leader within WMS in Scandinavia with its Astro systems platform for many years. At that time, focus was mainly on intra-business logistics. In the mid 90s, when the Internet reinvented the rules of business, the idea of creating a solution for logistics efficiency within the entire supply chain was born.PipeChain was set up in 1997 as a project within MA-system and in 1999 we became a separate company.

The Astro business was sold to Consafe Logistics in 2004. Today, the company successfully runs the WMS business and is one of the leading players in Europe.

PipeChain is owned by MA-system AB. In 2005, the company acquired Strålfors TradeCom Solutions AB, which has since 1986 delivered a large quantity of EDI and logistics solutions to businesses within the manufacturing industry and commerce. During the same year, Emcat eBusiness Solutions AB was acquired, which has developed and marketed one of Scandinavia’s most powerful WebEDI solutions for automatic order and delivery processes since 1997.

PipeChain is part of a business group together with MA-system . The Group focuses entirely on solutions within logistics, supply chain and business integration. The Group employs over 100 people and has a turnover of 100 MSEK.
