Demand driven supply chain
To reach the really high profits with PipeChain you need fresh ideas and a capacity for initiatives to create a demand-driven supply chain from customer to supplier via your company. You accomplish this by collecting customer requirements and using this information to drive the flow from suppliers. If you avoid "distorting” information from customers, suppliers will get an image of the "real” demands of the end user chain. Your suppliers have the possibility to control their own business based on demands from the end user.

Automate orders

If your business works with store chains without stock, it must be efficient in delivering from the Distribution Centre (DC) to the customer (store). In order to make this more effective, you should automate the order process from shop as efficiently as possible. Here, the PipeChain tool can be used to automatically receive orders from customers. In this scenario, PipeChain is only used to get/monitor purchase orders from customers; it is not used as a VMI tool.

If you have products that require a buffer with customers, PipeChain can be used as a VMI tool to replenish this buffer. If you can abandon orders from customers for these products and change to a process of control replenishing (via WMI), then you gain flexibility in your own production and warehouse business. This flexibility can be used to even out production and delivery over all days in a week, gaining more even load.
