eCAD is a system developed to handle ENGDAT flows. The system has been developed by PipeChain and is based on experience gained from several generations of EDI and Engdat systems.

eCad is based on modern client/server technology and uses Odex for the OFTP communication. The system is made up of two parts, a server service and one or more client applications.
