When implementing VMI towards suppliers it’s important to have a good understanding of the available parameters in PipeChain. To get full benefits of the VMI flow an impartial view of the process should be used to set up the flow uniquely fitted for each individual supplier.

This education can be directed towards the suppliers and the internal buyers or only to the internal buyers. Preferably both parties are present in a one day education.

Goal: The goal with the education is to get basic knowledge of the available VMI parameters in PipeChain and to get an understanding of what to take in consideration when setting up the flow and parameters.

Who: The education can be directed towards the Suppliers and the Internal buyers or only towards the internal buyers.

When: When new suppliers should be introduced to VMI with PipeChain and/or when new internal users should start working with the VMI process.

Where: If PipeChain is implemented at customer then the education is preferably held there. Else the education can be held at PipeChain, Lund.
