Message Log Overview
The Message Log Overview screen lists messages from the system so that system errors or other events can be traced. You should look in this screen at least once a day, more often if you are a system administrator. When you have read a message and taken care of the problem, you acknowledge the message.
Note When PipeChain Supply is started up, the Message Log Overview screen always has its filter set to show only messages created in the last 24 hours, and with the status Warning, Error or System Error. To view older messages or Information messages, you must change the filter settings.
Priority
Importance of a message. The message priorities can be: System Error, Error, Warning, Information and Debug.
System Error - This is the most serious type of error message. A message with System Error priority must be reported to your PipeChain Supply implementation partner as soon as possible. You must describe the circumstances very specifically so that the cause of the system error can be found
Error - A message with Error priority means that the operation in question failed, and cannot be carried out unless the error is corrected. It is important to follow up Error messages so that they do not appear again. If possible, the operation should be carried out again after the error is corrected
Warning - A message with Warning priority means that the operation in question was carried out,but with other results than expected, and something has to be done to correct the problem. It is important to follow up Warning messages so that they do not appear again
Information - A message with Information priority does not mean that anything has gone wrong. As the name implies, it is just information about something, e.g. that a background job was started or stopped or that a user logged on or off.
Debug - This status is used by PipeChain development when testing and/or debugging the application. This status has the lowest of the priorities.
If you right-click on a row in the list of catalogues, you open a menu where you can choose the following commands:
View - Opens a submenu where you can choose how to manage the view/columns and show all columns.
Export - Export the view to Html or to Excel.
