Introduction

PipeChain FlowProduction is a system that automates production planning and helps to balance the production plan. When an order system sends a delivery order to PipeChain FlowProduction a Capable-To-Promise (CTP) and/or Available-To-Promise (ATP) process is started, resulting in the customer getting feedback about the time of delivery and the quantity. During this process a production order has been created and all resources that the production order requires are allocated in the production plan.

If the automated Capable-To-Promise and/or Available-To-Promise (ATP) function cannot schedule due to capacity shortages the production is scheduled manually. This is done in the order screens.

When setting up or adding new data you use the configuring screens, and when you just want to view the flow of resource allocations, resource demands or messages you use the monitoring screens.

The FlowProduction screens are divided into five sections and these are all linked in the PipeChain FlowProduction Overview screen.

FlowProduction works together with PipeChain Supply. PipeChain Supply is the basic building block when using the software PipeChain and automates the flow of goods between suppliers and customers. PipeChain Supply is included when you buy PipeChain FlowProduction.
