Customer Flow Model Detail

The Customer Flow Model Detail screen shows the details of a customer’s Flow Model. A Flow Model is a sales forecast or production plan. If the customer does not use a Flow Model for a product, the customer’s PipeChain Supply calculates future outflow based on past outflow.

If you want to use the Transport strategy with an outbound delivery agreement for a product, you must link the agreement to a Customer Flow Model for that product.

Note     Customer Flow Models are meant to be created and updated by the customer. However, your company can do this itself.

The basic idea is that your company creates Own Flow Models  describing your outflow and transfer these to your suppliers, while your customers create Flow Models describing their outflow, which they then transfer to you as Customer Flow Models. But you can also create or modify the Customer Flow Models yourself (preferably using an external system, and not directly in PipeChain Supply), and your suppliers can create or modify Customer Flow Models that describe your outflow.

Note     If you have created or modified a Customer Flow Model, and the customer creates or modifies a Flow Model for the same product (or Product Variant ), your own changes to the Flow Model are overwritten by the customers at the next data exchange. The changes are not transferred to the customer.

Note     In the following, references to updating the Flow Model refer only to the customer doing so, unless your company has decided to manage Customer Flow Models itself.
