Supplier Group Detail

The Supplier Group Detail screen lists all the suppliers that are members of a supplier group. You use the screen to create a new supplier group, as well as to add suppliers to or delete them from the group.

Supplier Group Id – you choose this Id when you create the group. After saving, the Id cannot be changed.

Description – the description can relate to the type of suppliers collected in the group, or to the name of the user who is responsible for the group, etc.

Last Updated – the date and time the group was last edited.

Only Unique Members - It means that you don't want suppliers to join other unique group. If you using PipeChain Analyzer it is important to check this checkbox. Otherwise you can uncheck it.

Add new supplier into the group by clicking the item button.

Choose the supplier you want below to the supplier group.

This tab lists the suppliers that belong to the group.

When you click to add a supplier, the following dialog box appears:

Enter the ID of the supplier you want to add and click OK.

+ Duration Meters

The Duration Meters tab displays a Duration Meter for each one of the Own Buckets that this Supplier Group is supplying including Own Buckets at other Sites in your Business. However, if more than one supplier is supplying you with the same product or Product Variant, you will see the supplier's Partial Bucket Duration Meter, and its color concerns only that supplier’s share of your stock of the product.

If you double-click on a Duration Meter, you open the Own Bucket Detail screen for that product. If the Duration Meter is for another Site it is not possible to double-click on the Duration Meter.

If you right-click on a Duration Meter, you open a menu where you can choose the following commands:

Sort By – opens a submenu where you can choose how to sort the Duration Meters.

Inventory Chart – opens an inventory chart for the product in question.

If you place the mouse cursor over a Duration Meter, a hovering tool tip window will open with a summary the information about your stock of that product. (Note that if more than one supplier is supplying you with the same product or Product Variant, it is that supplier’s share of your stock that is shown in the window).

If you click once on a Duration Meter, the bottom section of the window will show data for this product. (Note that if more than one supplier is supplying you with the same product or Product Variant, it is that supplier’s share of your stock that is shown in the window).

Update Inventory Warnings – if you use this command, PipeChain Supply will update the status of all the buckets in this screen, as of this moment.

A Duration Meter is a graphical representation of your need for replenishing the stock of a product. For a description of the Duration Meter.

+ Inbound Deliveries

This tab lists all deliveries in progress from this Supplier Group, i.e. SMI deliveries that the supplier has confirmed, plus all non-SMI suggestions and ditto deliveries including deliveries to other Sites in your Business.

If you double-click on a row, you open the Inbound Delivery Detail screen, where you can view the details of that inbound delivery. For explanations of the fields in this tab, see the description of that screen. If the delivery is to another Site it is not possible to double-click on the row.

The Receipt Time field turns yellow if the delivery has been shipped but not received, and the receipt time is in the past.

The Shipment Time field turns yellow if the delivery has not been shipped yet and the shipment time is in the past.

If you right-click on a row in the list of inbound deliveries, you open a menu where you can choose the following commands:

Sort By - Opens a submenu where you can choose how to sort the list items.

Recalculate - Recalculates the shipment and receipt time for the delivery suggestion. The command is only enabled if the status of the inbound delivery is suggestion.

Generate Order - Creates a Purchase Order. The order will list the delivery suggestion you right-clicked on, plus all other suggestions with the same shipment time or belonging to the same blanket order (depending on the setting under Replenishment Order A VMI order generated by PipeChain. in the Own Business screen and Order Generating Strategy in the Supplier Detail screen. The command is only enabled if the status of the inbound delivery is suggestion.

Add to Order - Adds the selected delivery suggestion to an order. The command is only enabled if the status of the inbound delivery is suggestion.

Remove from Order - Removes the selected delivery suggestion from the order to which it belongs. The command is only enabled if the status of the inbound delivery is suggestion and the suggestion is tied to an order.

Confirm - Confirms the delivery suggestion. The command is only enabled if the status of the inbound delivery is suggestion and the suggestion is tied to an order.

Register Reception - Registers that you have received all or part of the quantity of the delivery. This command has the same function as the Register Reception button in the Inbound Delivery Detail screen.
