Preparations

Before any installation is made the following should be in place:

• The machine should be set up in the correct position in the network. This means that it should be placed e.g. on the Intranet or in a DMZ (Demilitarized Zone), depending on company security policy.

• The machine must be able to communicate with the PipeChain Supply server using RMI (Remote Method Invocation). If there is a firewall between the machines, it needs to be opened for this communication.
