Running PipeChain
PipeChain application
Check the Message Log regularly for any unusual errors.
Hint: Use the "Named Filter" functionality to create a filter that hides common errors and warnings in your configuration of PipeChain Supply.
NOTE After upgrading to a new version and / or service pack of PipeChain please check this thoroughly immediately after the upgrade and during the first days after the upgrade.
Events
Use the Event Mail functionality to send critical messages to the System Administrators.
General
Disk space
If you are using converters with logs please make sure that you from time to time check the disk space to prevent the disk from becoming full.
SQL Server
SQL Mail
We strongly recommend that you activate SQL mail. The SQL Server Agent should be started with a user account that has access to the Mail profile of the SQL Mail.
Operators
We strongly recommend that you define operators for your database. You should define both (if possible) e-mail address and net send address. All vital jobs such as backups and DTS-packages for the Analyzer should be defined to alert the operator(s) if they fail.
Disk space
Please make sure that you from time to time check the disk space to prevent the disk from becoming full due to too many backups or too large log-files.
