About This Manual
This publication introduces the reader to PipeChain Supply. It describes the graphical user interface (GUI), i.e. the different screens, and all the different fields, buttons and tabs that you can find in these screens. You can also find explanations of system-specific terms using the Glossary.
Who Should Read This Manual?
This manual is aimed at those whose work involves performing day-to-day tasks in PipeChain Supply, as well at users involved in configuring the program (creating or modifying the Own Business, the suppliers, customers, reception schedules and delivery agreements) and installing PipeChain.
How to Use This Manual
This document is meant as a kind of “encyclopedia”. This means that you are not expected to read it from cover to cover. Instead, when you want to know the function of an item in the user interface, such as a particular screen, field or button, you look it up in this document, using the Table of Contents or the Index.
The Level of Knowledge the Reader is Expected to Have
Having some knowledge of basic logistics is an advantage. The reader should have attended at least the Supply Basic Training
How This Manual Is Organized
This manual describes all features as they appear in the user interface. To find an explanation of a certain feature in the interface, simply find the correct screen in the Table of Contents, or look up the name of the screen or feature in the Index.
