Master’s Thesis on AI-Driven Decision Support in Digital Supply Chains
We are pleased to welcome Emma Iveberg and Erik Ekstrand, two students at Lund University who will be writing their master’s thesis in collaboration with us at PipeChain. Throughout the spring, Emma and Erik will dive into a highly relevant and strategically important area:
“AI-Driven Decision Support in Digital Supply Chains – Improving KPI Interpretation and Supply Chain Performance”
As digital supply chains generate ever-increasing volumes of data, the crucial question is no longer whether we have KPIs – but how we interpret them, prioritize them, and act on them.
The thesis will focus on three central research questions:
- How can AI-driven analysis be used to interpret changes in KPIs and this way identify risks proactively?
- Can AI be used to prioritize and present KPIs based on operational context and decision-making needs?
- To what extent can AI find causes of shifts in KPI-values and give recommended actions?
– This aligns perfectly with our ambition to develop intelligent decision support that not only shows what is happening in the supply chain – but helps our customers understand why it is happening and what they should do about it, says Jens Dremo, CEO PipeChain SCM.
We look forward to combining academic excellence with practical application and continuing to drive innovation within digital supply chains.
A warm welcome to Emma and Erik – we look forward to the collaboration and are truly excited to see the results!
