Digitoll – a solution ready to use

From 2026, it will become mandatory to digitally register and declare goods when crossing the border into Norway. However, companies can already start using the new Digitoll solution, something that the Norwegian Customs Authority strongly recommends to ease the transition.

On February 1, 2026, the first step will take effect. From then on, companies will be required to comply with the obligations under the reporting and information requirements.

The next major change takes place on September 1, 2026. From that date, all goods must be registered and declared electronically before crossing the border. At the same time, the exemptions previously allowed under the so-called direct transport scheme will be removed.

Several industry players, including PipeChain, are already prepared for Digitoll. Is your company ready too?
