PipeChain now supports Open JDK

OpenJDK Logo In 2019 Oracle’s JDK Java 8 reached end-of-life (EOL) for commercial use. Thus all versions as of Java 8 come with a support and subscription fee. In order to protect our customers from additional licensing fees we took a strategic decision in 2020 to base PipeChain on OpenJDK.

Release v21.1. is now fully based on Open JDK 11. OpenJDK 11 is a long term release (LTS) which fits our strategy of being a long term supply chain partner well.
