When multiple order lines need to be shipped, each item no longer needs to mean a separate pallet. With Mixed Pallets, multiple items and order lines can be consolidated onto the same pallet, while traceability is maintained throughout the entire process.

By structuring information already at the packing stage, you are better equipped to meet both today’s customer requirements and future needs.

How it works

Mixed Pallets builds on the information already available in the delivery flow, making it possible to manage multiple order lines and packages on the same pallet.

An SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code) identifies the pallet, while information about its contents is structured at the underlying level. After packing, this information is passed on through the despatch advice, creating a digital link between the pallet and the goods actually placed on it.

Labels based on your business needs

Because the information is structured in PipeChain, labels can be adapted to the information that needs to accompany the goods. This could include item information, weight, or details relating to the origin and certification of the raw material, for example.

Different needs, same functionality

Mixed Pallets can be used both by businesses that require SSCC-based traceability and by businesses whose primary need is to optimize packing and pallet utilization. SSCCs can be generated by PipeChain, provided by the supplier, or managed according to the customer’s existing setup.
