The PipeChain Customer Day is, as usual, free to attend and includes a presentation of how IKEA Industry works with its supply chain, product news about PipeChain and a guided tour of IKEA Industrys' operations. It is also an excellent opportunity to network with other PipeChain users.

Thirty plus participants from Sweden and Europe participated. The day began with a tour of the Findus production plant and was followed by a presentation of how Findus works in the supply chain.

The latest version of PipeChain Software suite, version 4.9.5, is now available for all our customers. We have compiled some of the most significant new features and updates included in the new version.

Axis Communications AB, a world leader in network video, digital video surveillance, and PipeChain AB have entered into a partnership to visualize, control and automate Axis supply chain for incoming materials. Axis aims to create a more efficient supply chain through increased collaboration with suppliers, thereby reducing costs.

MA-system/PipeChain has organized a number of master theses within the area of inventory management. In the most recent thesis, two engineering students, Erik Björling and Emil Pålsson, from Lund University, have developed a method to simplify how to set safety times based on desired service levels.

Our work on the next release of the PipeChain software suite, version 4.9.3, is in full swing. The next version will in particular include improved functionality to share performance information (KPI´s) with partners in the supply chain, through PipeChain web interfaces and by enhancements of the PipeChain dashboard. Proper performance indicators between yourself and your trading partners are, as you know, fundamental for your Continuous Improvement process in the supply chain.

Ekmans Jönköping AB, part of Trioplast, has signed a contract with PipeChain and are running a pilot implementation project using the PipeChain software suite and collaboration concept for VMI outbound with one of their strategic customers, Procordia food, part of the Orkla Foods group. 

FlexLink wanted a customizable integration platform to improve information flows related to their business and at the same time gain better control. They also wanted easy maintenance and development. For this they choose an EDI solution from PipeChain based on Inobiz and Odex Enterprise and a service-based solution for communication.

You can make a supply chain more demand-driven in many ways but this has not been top of the agenda in the automotive industry. Often it is a case of deeply integrating the principal parts of the chain both technically and logically. This has generally been very successful in the automotive industry, however the supply chain is longer than that. What can be done to save time and add better rhythm to the entire chain?

Oticon A/S, part of William Demant Holding A/S, has signed a contract with PipeChain for a migration project to shift from its current VMI and traditional order management solution to PipeChain VMI and WebEDI.
